Dear Vermont political candidates, I have a request. 

Sometimes a comment knocks you back. This week it was the esteemed Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy, answering a reporter’s question about why he had not been back to Vermont since the start of the pandemic. 

An arresting photo came through my inbox the other day from the campaign of Molly Gray, a candidate for Lt. Governor of Vermont.

I got into a one of those Twitter spats this week with a fellow named Job Tate.
