It has been 50 years since Robert Kennedy was gunned down in a hotel kitchen in California while running for president. Had he lived, he would have been 95 this November and struggling with the usual maladies. I was nine years old when my mother woke me up that Saturday morning - crying.

Two weeks ago, I wrote a blog post urging Republicans to embrace a positive agenda for the future by rejecting Trump and embracing pragmatists like the governor of Vermont - Phil Scott. 

I just left my 40th college reunion by closing my computer screen.

It was a bit like a Springsteen concert. You head to the event wondering why you go to all the trouble. And then, for the next four hours, you are on a high like no other.
